Bout Tommy Joe

Hello Dare my Frans.  To fill y'all in on me, I was born in Biloxi, MS on August 12, 1954 into a Cajun family that loved laughter. Tellin Cajun stories was a way of life, especially for my GranPa, his name Gilbear (Gilbert). GranPa an de family was forced to move away from their hometown of Breaux Bridge, La  when the Mississippi River flood of 1927 washed away everything but the clothes on their backs. Movin to Biloxi, MS to work in the seafood factories was their only way out to support the family. French was their language an my daddy's, too, even though he was born in Mississippi.

Moving along a few years ahead, Mom an Dad opened an auto parts store where I started workin as soon as I learned to put price on an oil can. The parts store was a place where I could not only enjoy all the regular customers with their auto parts needs but give them a Cajun story to carry them thru the day.

The parts store had a Radio Remote broadcast an the 2 DJ's who worked the remote also got a listen to my stories. The surprise was mine when the remote was over and they asked me to join them on their morning show telling my stories to folks driving to work. It  was not long after I went on the air that people started askin me to speak at their conventions, parties, etc. which led to folks axin me for tapes.

To make a long story short, the tapes on my web page (see "Shoppin") have brought me to National TV and radio stations all across the USA as well as National Magazine comedy pages.  In addition to making tapes, I have narrated the famous Cajun story A Cajun Night Before Christmas (Pelican Publishing).  I would appreciate your giving me a chance to make you laugh like so many other people have.  I don't think you will be disappointed.
